OOn the Russian River in a SOAR Canoe! mmms
Samantha Sweetwater mmGail ~ the RiverGuidess

Enter a timeless world as the river leaves the road, and we paddle down the beautiful and secluded Healdsburg section of the Russian River in SOAR inflatable canoes.

SOAR canoes are comfortable, stable, and fun! Sit back, put your feet up on the tubes, and let the river's gentle current carry you downstream. Occasionally lay across the tubes while your paddling partner steers. Seek out and play on the rope swings that dot the river bank. The variety of birdlife we will encounter include egrets, heron, osprey, kingfisher, ducks and owls.

Logistics:
Meet at Russian River Adventures in Healdsburg at 10am sharp, so we can have a leisurely time on the river (click here for directions). From here, we're shuttled over to the put-in, where Samantha Sweetwater will lead us in a series of partner-yoga stretches before getting on the river. Halfway downstream, we break for lunch (BYO plus something to share) and more movement explorations inspired by nature. We should be back to our cars by 5pm. After that, who knows what may unfold?

From Samantha's website:
Water is the ability to flow while staying connected. It is pure feeling. It is empathic harmonization with all that is. The connective tissue especially represents your I AM CONNECTED-NESS, partnered with your I AM SURRENDERED-NESS, and your I AM EMBRACE. It is your willingness to feel, and your capacity to feel without attachment to the feelings. It is your FLUIDITY with the known and unknown.

Meditation: Walk like water. Follow the path of least resistance.
