What to bring:

While rafting:

Bathing suit
Quick-drying shorts
T-shirt
Tevas (secure river sandals) or tennis shoes that lace tightly (no bare feet or flip flops)
Hat with brim (with a strap that will keep it on as headwinds come up the river)
Sunglasses (with Chums or Croakies)
Sunscreen (waterproof, high SPF)
Lip balm
Water bottle
Disposable waterproof camera

Optional:
Paddling gloves
Small fanny pack (to carry lip balm, sunscreen, Clif Bars, etc.)

While on the land:

Please let us know if you need to rent camping gear ...

Tent
Pillow
Sleeping bag or bedding
Thermarest, air mattress or foam pad
Tarp to place under tent

Sun hat
Sunscreen and lip balm
Sunglasses
Extra shoes and socks (we're dancing on the ground, which naturally has rocks and other irregularities, so foot protection and mindfulness are essential)
Extra sets of clothes
(Non-rafters: a bathing suit and/or sarong may be all you need during the day. FYI, the waterfront area closest to the swimming hole(s) is clothing-optional. The rest of the property is not.)
(Suggested: Light layer of cotton or silk long pants, socks, and long-sleeve high-neck shirt for sun and bug protection)

Insect repellent
Flashlight with extra batteries
Windbreaker, fleece or light jacket for evening (bring layers, as temps may vary)
Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
Biodegradable soap (e.g., Dr. Bronner's)
One or two towels
Reading materials
Yoga mat or Sarong
Yoga blanket (if you have one)
Journal and pen
Camp chair
Water bottle
Trash bag(s) for your personal trash*
Solar shower (optional)
Inner tube, foam noodle or other flotation device (for river lounging at camp)
Tissues or handiwipes (for your tent)

Water:
Bring a minimum one gallon of drinking water per person, per day.
Earth-friendly, re-usable, re-cyclable containers are preferred.

Please donate one of these to the kitchen upon arrival, so that cold teas and other drinks can be prepared by our chef.

Expect hot weather during the day. Since it is essential to keep your body well hydrated, drink lots and drink BEFORE you get thirsty.

Plate, bowl, silverware*
Thermal drinking mug*

(the mug should have a lid with a hole small enough so that yellow jackets can't get in)

A piece of fabric or decor to make your weekend home more homey.

A cushy pillow for the snuggle / chill space.

Small personal item you'd like to place on an altar.

Healthy snacks to share between meals.
Bring anything you'd rather not live without ... Clif bars can go in your fanny pack for the river.

And for the evening campfire . . .
Musical instruments, bells, drums, whistles, flutes, rattles, songs, stories, poems, etcetera

*This gathering abides by the principles of Leave No Trace. We will minimize the use of paper products by bringing our own sturdy and washable plates, cups, and silverware. Whatever we pack in, we will also pack out, with each person taking responsibility for the trash they create.

The river begins here and now, as we begin to prepare for the trip ...
As we step into this experience, we're stepping into a community.
Let's each bring our intention for personal and collective joy, ease, grace and flow ...

Cooperation, generosity & contribution to the greater whole hold the key to having this be more than your ordinary rafting trip ...
